  • Complete the Influence Power Index (IPI) assessment
  • Sign up for our newsletter, webinars, or the Influence Inner Circle
  • Enquire about keynote speaking, workshops, or coaching
  • Otherwise get in touch with us

It’s written to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

3. What personal data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Identity and contact data: first name, surname, email address, phone number
  • IPI assessment data: your answers to the assessment questions, and the resulting influence style scores (Activator, Inspirer, Harmoniser, Evaluator) and report
  • Consent records: confirmation that you agreed to receive your report and, where applicable, marketing communications
  • Enquiry data: anything you tell us in a form, email, or call about your training, coaching, or speaking needs
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and website usage data via cookies and analytics tools

We do not knowingly collect special category data (such as health information) through the IPI assessment. It is a behavioural and communication style tool, not a clinical or psychometric diagnostic instrument.

4. How we collect it

  • Directly from you, when you fill in the IPI assessment, a contact form, or a newsletter sign-up
  • Automatically, through cookies and similar technologies when you browse the site
  • From our automation tools as part of processing the above

6. Who we share your data with

We use a small number of trusted third-party processors to run the business:

  • Google: to log leads and send automated report emails and notifications
  • HubSpot: as our CRM, to manage contacts and segment individual vs corporate leads
  • Mailchimp: to send nurture sequences and newsletters
  • Zapier: to connect the above tools together

These providers only process data on our instructions and are contractually required to protect it. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

Some of these providers may process or store data outside the UK (for example, in the US). Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.

7. How long we keep your data

  • IPI assessment responses and reports: kept for as long as you remain subscribed or engaged with us, and for up to 5 years after your last interaction, unless you ask us to delete it sooner
  • Marketing contact data: kept until you unsubscribe or we identify you as inactive, whichever is sooner
  • Enquiry and contract-related data: kept in line with our legal and accounting obligations (typically 6 years)

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to delete your data
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data
